The AISWAlearningnet project's aim is to facilitate opportunities for schools, teachers and students to participate in on-line learning environments and develop and share high-quality, on-line learning and teaching resources.

"Collaboration" is one word which could sum up the AISWAlearningnet project.  From within the school and through virtual learning environments, school administrators, teachers, students and parents will communicate and collaborate.

At this stage, the project is still in its infancy and has only one application to offer -  the Scholaris Learning Gateway.  A three month trial of Scholaris has just been completed with 14 schools and approximately 3500 users involved.  The Scholaris suite was hosted in a data centre and teachers and students accessed their individual portals through an internet connection.
